personal access purchase and subscription in SFS Store
In SFS Store, standards can be accessed either through personal access purchases or an organisational subscription. Personal access is ideal for individual and occasional needs, while a subscription provides continuous access to selected standards, automatic updates, and centralised user and access management for organisations.

In SFS Store, you can purchase standards for personal use or subscribe to a set of standards tailored to your organisation’s needs. Both purchasing methods require logging in to the service.
Purchase for personal access
Personal access purchase is a great option when you need quick access to individual standards or publications.
Personal access purchase allows you to
- read standards in a browser
- download standards on your device subject to the publisher’s terms of use
- instantly access your purchased standards in your user account.
Personal access purchase is recommended for example when you need an individual standard for a specific project or have some other one-time need.
Subscription
With the subscription service designed specifically for organisations, selected standards are constantly available to users. Subscriptions are based on a written agreement with SFS.
Benefits of subscription include
- constant access to the standards included in your service agreement
- automatic updates ensuring access to the most recent versions of standards
- the option to employ a more expansive set of standards
- user management for your organisation’s users
- depending on the selected service level, the option to save, print and access earlier versions of standards.
The customer chooses the standards to be included in their subscription. The service can be tailored to accommodate the specific needs of the organisation.
Subscription management
As a subscription administrator, you can
- manage users in your organisation
- grant and remove access rights
- add standards by publishers already included in your subscription.
Service level changes and other significant changes to the service agreement must be made by contacting SFS Sales or Customer Service.
